One of the many great things about San Tan Valley is the variety of events and activities that are just down the street or around the corner. Year-round, there are many things to do both indoors and outdoors. From biking, hiking and running to shopping, theaters and concerts, there’s pretty much something for everyone in San Tan Valley and its sister city, Queen Creek. And, this is no exception during the holidays.
A long-running event is the Queen Creek Festival and Parade. This year marks the event’s 33rd year of bringing festive holiday fun to children and adults of all ages. The festival and parade will take place this Saturday, Dec. 5, from 12-9 p.m., with the parade starting at 3:30 p.m. The parade route will run north of Ellsworth Rd., and end at the Recreation Annex/Library.
In addition to the parade, there will be a tree lighting ceremony, craft vendors, food, music and of course, photos with Santa. If you’re not in the holiday spirit when the event begins, I think you will be by the time the event is over. The 33rd Annual Queen Creek Festival and Parade is just one of the many holiday activities taking place in the coming weeks.
